About our client

Our client is a well-established consumer goods company listed in the NYSE with their Global Business Services based out of Malaysia.

About the role

The Manager, Internal Controls and SOX Compliance is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of Asia Pacific (APAC) internal control requirements including internal control training, test of control design, site visits, assessment of the local internal control program, timely remediation of reported deficiencies, roll-out of Corporate or APAC directed internal control projects, etc.

He will also work and consult with the internal and external audit teams in the planning and execution of the Company’s SOX compliance testing program.  The position will focus in partnering with the local management and business users to establish internal control governance in APAC.

The requirements

  • 5- 8 years of auditing or SOX experience, including performing testing, risk assessment, and process improvement
  • Big 4 Accounting experience and related experience in a regional capacity in a large-sized organization
  • Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and the COSO framework of internal controls
  • Strong auditing skills and analytical ability
  • Ability to obtain, analyze and evaluate data
  • Strong proficiencies with Microsoft Office applications.
